Our mission is to provide quality, evidenced based occupational therapy services to adults with low vision in their own homes in order to maintain independence and safety with daily tasks.
Services

All clients start with an individualized evaluation to determine their current visual status and skills. The therapist and client will discuss the client's needs and goals in order to develop a personalized plan of care.

Our Providers
​Amber has been a treating occupational therapist since 2013 and has experience working with older adults in a variety of settings, including acute care, skilled nursing facilities and most recently home healthcare. Amber received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin. She then enrolled at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA where she received her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has taken a variety of continuing education courses focused on occupational therapy interventions for low vision clients.

Amber is currently pursuing a Certificate of Low Vision Rehabilitation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the only comprehensive low vision rehabilitation certificate for occupational therapists in the United States.
She launched Tidewater Vision Occupational Therapy in 2020 due to a need in the community for focused vision therapy for older adults. Her hope is to provide vision therapy services that will allow clients to improve independence, increase safety and maintain their quality of life despite changes in their vision.

She lives in Norfolk, VA with her husband and two daughters. In her free time she enjoys working out, running, baking and spending time with her family.
